From Godwin Akomah, Lagos
It was all joy and prayer of blissful life ahead for the newest of couple - Jonathan Igweh and his adorable bride, Vivian Gbaruko, as they enthusiastically solemnized their holy matrimony on Saturday at The End Time Harvesters Assembly, Lagos.
The couple gracely took their marriage vow to live according to the Christian Faith and strictly submit to the Bible precepts regarding marital bond between a woman and a man.
In his sermon, the officiating Minister and General Overseer of the Church, Prophet Godwin Ibeji Ikpo,
pointed it out that for a marriage to take place, the man (bridegroom) should leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife (bride), and the two shall become one flesh.
He admonished the couple to observe this mystery behind marriage, which he said it is a stablizer and engenders success in marriage.
The elated couple took their vows in turns. The groom made his official vow before the whole congregation followed by the groom, miss Vivian Gbaruko responding in the same manner immediately after.
The groom hails from Delta State while the bride is from Abia State.
The bridegroom revealed that he was attracted to his wife because of her naturally uncommon ways she conducts her affairs, especially in the things of God and in this age where chosing a better half is almost becoming a herculean task due to the global influence of modernism.
However, the bride identified respectfulness, coolheadness, God fearing disposition, caring attitude and his brilliance as the attributes that attracted her to him, impelling her not to hesitate with 'Yes' answer when the man proposed.
Also, Chief Emmanuel Iruke, the elder brother of the bride who is excited about the marriage said he is a very happy person because his wish for her sister to settle in her own home has come to reality, especially marrying to a husband that is caring, praying that God should bless their union with wonderful children.
In the same vein, Lady Mrs. Patience Akomah, the immediate elder sister of the groom who is very close to her, expressed her boundless joy for the God - given oppoy to play a vital role in her sibbling's life.
"We have been very close and I know my little sister very well, she is a very nice person and has the qualities to build a good home," she said.
Mr. Job Igwe, an elder brother of the bridegroom and who also representrd the groom's family, said the marriage is well endorsed and supported by the Igwe family and the fellow Deltans.
He prayed God to make the marriage fruitful in all ramifications.
