Manufacturers and organised private business operators in Ogun State have received an assurance that the challenges they face while doing business in the state would be addressed.
The manufacturers acting under the aegis of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria(MAN) got the assurance from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun who met with them in Ota on Tuesday.
Abiodun pledged to bring succour to the power and deplorable roads challenges members face in the state.
MAN in Ogun State led by Seleem Adegunwa at its Investors Forum Ota did present 14 - point propositions which it described as "unique and individual concerns" affecting members' businesses and demanded to know how the APC gubernatorial candidate intends to address them if elected Governor.
Abiodun, his running mate, Noimot Salako - Oyedele and some members of his team visited the manufacturers' body on consultation.
The body identified "rampant importation of goods competing with same products manufactured locally, epileptic power supply, water abstraction surcharge, deplorable condition of roads in the state, insecurity within the state, need for harmonization of taxes and levies, duplication of powers, duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Environment and the Ogun state Environmental Protection Agency(OGEPA)" among others as their routine aches in Ogun.
However, Abiodun who listened to their plights intently, pledged to facilitate the establishment of independent "embedded power project" that would generate and distribute electricity within a given industrial area.
He added that the such embedded power project which is already obtainable in Lagos, would be replicated in Ogun state to help manufacturers enjoy steady 24 hours energy supply, scale down cost of production and generate employment to boost socioeconomic status of the state.
APC is the answer. No matter the speed.let the PDP park and watsh for the next four years and judge APC thereafter, compare to 16years of mismanagement.
