Anambra Police To Arraign Two For Gang - Raping Teenage Girl

Two persons  - Chidiebere Uzoma, 45, of Ukaegbu Street Awada and Uchenna  Nwegbu, 23, suspected to have gang raped a teenage girl,  will soon be arraigned and prosecuted before a magistrate court in Idemili, Anambra State.

The two, allegedly, gang raped a - 16 year old girl at Osumowo street Awada in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, leaving her unconscious due to profuse bleeding.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Haruna Mohammed, detectives tracked the suspects and arrested them after the alleged crime was brought to the attention of the Anambra State Police Command.

Haruna, who is the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, said the victim was taken to a hospital for medical Examination where penetration and multiple lacerations of her hymen were confirmed.

The Police Spokesman noted that the girl  was presently receiving treatment while the suspects had voluntarily admitted commiting the alleged Crime during interogation.
