•Pst. Ituah Ighodalo & Jide
Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday visited bereaved Pastor Ituah Ighodalo who lost his wife, Ibidun, to the cold hand of death.
Ibidun died on Sunday after a brief illness.
Sanwo-Olu, who visited the pastor in Lagos to condoled with the family, said only God could wipe away all tears from the eyes of the Ighodalos and end death and sorrow at the close of age
Citing Revelation 21:4, he said 'And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things have passed away.'
The Governor also prayed that God should grant the fortitude to bear the loss.
"There are no words strong enough to comfort someone on the death of their loved one. But we would continue to commit them unto the hands of God who is the ultimate healer and comforter.
"I paid a condolence visit to my dear friend, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo to commiserate with him on the passing of his dear wife, late Mrs. Ibidun Ighodalo.
"My prayer is that Mrs. Ibidun Ighodalo rests in peace, and that God continues to abide with Pastor Ituah and their loved ones. Amen," he said.
