The leadership crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) appeared to have taken a worsening dimension on Thursday morning as armed Policemen prevented the APC National Secretary of , Waziri Bulama, from entering the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Dozens of staff who resumed for work at the Secretariat in the morning, were denied access to the facility by the security personnel that took over the Secretariat's entrance even before Dawn.
The Party National Scribe, Bulama, arrived at the Secretariat about 10:50 a.m. in a black Toyota Land Cruiser Sports Utility Vehicle with registration number Abuja, Abj -140DN.
The Policemen on duty fanned Bulama down and stopped him at the gate and despite self introduction after meeting with the team leader, he could not access his office.
He later told reporters that he has put a call to the FCT Commissioner of Police.
“I came here this morning to resume work and met policemen who said they have instructions from above to seal the secretariat.
“I have called the commissioner of police and he said he is sending a senior officer to see what is happening.
“The workers of the secretariat are servicing over 16 million members of this party across Nigeria. They are like civil servants,” Bulama said.
