The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Hon. Ladi Adebutu, on Friday planned to storm every door in Ogun State with 50,000 foot soldiers to canvass votes for him ahead of the March 2 gubernatorial election in the state.
Adebutu added the 50,000 canvassers would operate in the manner of the members of the Jehovah Witness, who are reputed for their persistent and persevering culture of going from house - to - house preaching and winning converts to their fold.
The Federal lawmaker who revealed this at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library(OOPL), Abeokuta, the state capital, during stakeholders meeting of interest groups and organisations working for the actualisation of governorship ambition and that of the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Presidential ambition, said there would also be a committee of people designated to man every polling unit in the state to ensure success.
Adebutu whose candidacy is mired in a legal dispute initiated by a group loyal to another gubernatorial candidate of PDP in the state, Senator Buruji Kashamu, however, expressed the confidence that he would succeed Governor Ibikunle Amosun come May 29, pledging to deliver quality governance to the people of Ogun state when given the mandate.
