Over 60,000 members and guests of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria (AMJN) would meet in Ilaro, the Headquarters of Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State for its 66th annual Jalsa Salana (Islamic Conference) on self - purification.
The massive gathering of the Ahmadiyyas for a three - day event, begins on Friday, December 15 at the Ahmadiyya Conference ground, Jamia Ahmadiyya Owode road, Ilaro, and would be chaired by the Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Nigeria, Dr Mashuud Fasola, while President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Ibikunle Amosun among others designated as special guests of honour, are expected to grace the occasion.
At the conference with the theme: “Self- Purification and Submission to Allah's Prerequisites for Reformation of Mankind,” participants would offer also special prayer for Nigeria on a number of issues.
Other highlights of the conference include special prayers for Nigerians, lectures / presentation of papers on the theme, message from the world head of the Ahmadiyya Community, academic Excellence and host of others.
Also, top government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders and friends of the Jamaat within and outside Nigeria are being expected to attend the conference.
