A Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) chieftain in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, Mr. Emmanuel Iruke, has expressed the confidence that a member of the party, Engr. John
Oludoyi, who is vying for the State House of Assembly seat, would win in 2019.
Iruke said apart from the reality on ground that PDP is the party to beat in Pakuro zone comprising Ijere Elede, Ijrere Ajelete, Ijere Onigbedu and Wasimi in Obafemi Owode, Oludoyi's track records in the area are also out there speaking positively for the candidate.
The Pakuro zone Chairman of PDP and loyalist of Senator Buruji Kashamu, who made this known to The Daily Crucible exclusively, cited over sixteen philanthropic projects executed by Oludoyi which, he said, has endeared the party's House of Assembly candidate to the heart of the people.
According to him, the projects executed for the benefits of the people by Oludoyi includes building of two blocks of class rooms at Orimerunmun community primary school; donation of drugs to Orimerunmun Health Centre; co-sponsor for the construction of entrance gate and donation of helmets and reflective vests to Okada riders' association.
Others, he added, includes free eye glasses and medical check up for 2000 beneficiaries; donation of two bore holes; taking red light girls off the streets by creating legitimate jobs for them, award of scholarships to deserving outstanding students and empowerment of widows.
"Besides, we have assembled a team that are going round to sensitise the citizens on the importance of getting their personal voters card (PVC), as it is the only means to effect the desired change," Iruke said.
