Oladunjoye To GNI: You Know Who's Defacing Your Posters, Leave APC Out Of It

The Publicity Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the Ogun State chapter, All Progressives Congress (APC), Tunde Oladunjoye, has advised the African Democratic Congress (ADC), its governorship candidate, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka(GNI) and GNI Campaign Organisation to leave APC out of their ordeal over the alleged destruction of campaign posters.

ADC and GNI campaign organisation had earlier addressed a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, where they accused APC of defacing their campaign posters across the state.

 

But reacting on Friday, Oladunjoye urged the ADC and GNI to leave APC out of their plights, saying they know who is defacing their posters and other campaign materials, and even that of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

He added that ADC and Isiaka have what it takes to correctly identify the person engineering the removal of their advert materials and urged them to face the person and leave innocent APC out of it.

"Our attention has been drawn to a media press briefing conducted by the ADC/GNICO where it was alleged that the All Progressives Congress, Ogun State is defacing and removing their posters and other campaign materials. 

"We believe the GNI Campaign Organisation has the wherewithal to know who has actually been removing its advert materials and that of APC candidate Prince Dapo Abiodun, across Ogun State, especially in Abeokuta; they should be courageous enough to name the persons and party and not lump APC together with the culprits. 

"The APC and its candidates are running a decent, non-violent and issue-based campaign, devoid of violence and hate speeches.  

Our media team (party’s and candidate’s) are peopled by thoroughbred professionals.

"We want to put it on record that when the news of the attack on the convoy of ADC candidate broke out early December, our candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, put a call across to him to sympathize with and encourage him.

"That is the stock we are made of; we are not desperate; we are not intolerant and we are confident that Ogun people will listen to us and vote us in," Oladunjoye stated.
