Over two hundred Christian pilgrims from Niger State to the Holyland of Israel have offered special prayers for the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello as he clocks 51 years.
In a statement on Monday by the Media and Publicity Coordinator to the Governor Bello, Mr. Jide Orintunsin, the pilgrims also prayed for President Muhammadu Buhari who celebrated his 76th birthday this same Monday.
The contingent led by Rev. Yerima El-Samaila while in Galilee for religious programmes, used the occasion to offer prayers for good health, God's wisdom and inspiration for the Governor in his efforts at repositioning Niger state.
The pilgrims also prayed for a peaceful, free and fair 2019 general elections as well as progress, unity and development of the state and the country.
Addressing the pilgrims shortly after the prayer, Rev. El-Samaila lauded the two leaders for their efforts at fighting corruption and restoring the glory of the country.
