Highly promising Miss Osanyinbi Kehinde, an indigene of Ota, Ogun State, did not only make her parents and alma mater proud again but also puts to nought, the common notion that the quality of teaching and learning in public secondary schools has so deteriorated to a degree that it is almost impossible for students to pass through it these days and come out with good grades.

Today, hers is a beacon of hope for students and parents that something good could still come out of public schools.

At the maiden edition of the Awori Economic and Security Summit in Ota on Wednesday, Kehinde was called out and declared the Best Science and Arts Student for the 2017 Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) in Ota, having registered for Nine subjects for the examinations, she made distinction in Seven subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Presenting the Awards to Kehinde, the Olota of Ota, Oba (Prof.) AbdulKabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, lauded her for being diligent with academic work,  advising that she should persevere as a bright future awaits her.

Elated Kehinde who attributed her excellent performance to providence, prayer, dedication and teachers who were always willing to guide her appropriately, told The Daily Crucible that she wants to study either Nursing or Medicine in one  of the nation's first generation universities.
