Residents of Ogun State have been advised not to despair, concerning the present state of things in the country, but be steadfast and prayerful as help is on the way to ensure quality governance and their general wellbeing.
Chief Toyin Amuzu who is vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, as a member of the house of representatives under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gave the assurance in his goodwill message to mark the 62nd independence anniversary of the Nation.
He said, this period calls for sober reflection as the country is presently going through a lot and has not faired well in terms of security, economy, job creation, obedience to rule of law and poverty alleviation among others.
Chief Amuzu who said, he feels the pains of the good people of Nigeria at this time of independence, encouraged all citizens to be hopeful and be ready for genuine change that would usher in better life for all and sundry.
He stressed that Nigeria would come out of all travails better and stronger.
He appealed to all citizens to embrace unity as we prepare to elect another set of leaders in the 2023 elections, urging "we all must shun violence and other acts capable of undermining the process."
Chief Amuzu said the PDP with its years of experience in governance is ready to rescue the people and better their lots, thus people should vote in credible candidates put forward by the party.
He also called on all PDP members and supporters to be calm on the recent developments in the party and assured that its leadership will resolve all crisis as soon as possible.
