2023: SWAGA Unveils Women's Wing In Ogun, Vows To Ensure Tinubu's Victory

South West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA), a grassroot support group for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 presidential ambition, on Monday unveiled the women wing in Ogun State, vowing to work assiduously for the victory of Tinubu - Shettima ticket and All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year February Presidential election.

The group which also unveiled campaign items such as flag and cap bearing Tinubu's signature emblems, also inaugurated women executives for the state's three Senatorial District's.

The National Chairman of SWAGA, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, said that the movement had become stronger and stronger by the day, recalling that when it began about two and half years ago, many people thought it was a joke.

Adeyeye who spoke at the inauguration of SWAGA's women wing in the state and its executives in Abeokuta, the state capital,  said it was encouraging to note that the movement is now a formidable force and poised to deliver on Tinubu-Shettima presidency in come 2023.

The Senator assured that Tinubu - Shettima presidency would bring about prosperity to Nigerians, tackle insecurity and accord women important place in government among other good projects he (Tinubu) promised to implement as encapsulated in the former governor's just released manifestoes.

He urged the women to demonstrate that they are true Ambassadors of the APC presidential candidate and also work towards winning more converts to the party ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

"If you're slacking before, go and buckle up. Be ready for the battle ahead: canvass for votes and mobilize from every corners of Nigeria and win the battle for Tinubu-Shettima ticket," he said.

In her address, the national president for the Women wing of SWAGA Hon. Ayò Omidiran, said the main project ahead of the group is to work for the victory of Tinubu - Shettima presidential joint ticket in 2023.

She explained that the inauguration of the women wing was informed by the realisation that women are critical stakeholder in votes canvassing and  mobilisation of people during election season.

She described Tinubu as a good product which everybody will love to market, vowing Tinubu for President 2023 is a task that must be accomplished.

She urged the women in Ogun State to penetrate all nooks and crannies of the state in canvassing votes for APC presidential candidate and mobilising ahead of time using the bottom-up approach.

Also, the Convener of 'SWAGA 23,' Hon. Oyetunji Ojo, said the APC presidential candidate had unveiled his laudable manifestoes and will implement what he promised if elected president next year.

Ojo urged the women to go all out to mobilise support from Tinubu - Shettima ticket.

He said, "We have listened to his manifestoes and we have just launched launched the SWAGA women wing at the state level, the women will go out there to inaugurate local government coordinators, Ward coordinators and polling unit coordinators. 

"They should propagate the message of Asiwaju and we can see what he said in the manifestoes and how it is going to benefit Nigerians. It is a rich manifestoes and this is a man that is going to achieve it. We want all our people to go back to various constituencies, carry the message, and propagate why they should support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 2023."

In his own goodwill message, the Ogun State SWAGA chairman, Senator Gbenga Obadara also assured that Tinubu-Shettima will rework Nigeria to the benefits of majority of Nigerians.
