CDC Commends Monarch's Giant Strides In Community Development

The Olu of Lisa Kingdom, Oba Oladele Odugbemi has been commended for his developmental projects through his personal efforts in the interest of the indigenes and residents as well improvement of the socio-economic status of his domain.


The zonal chairman, Community Development Cooperatives (CDC), Prince  Amos Oladele gave the commendation at the weekend during his familiarisation visit to the palace and on the spot assessment of community development issues in Lisa kingdom together with his executives. 

Prince Oladele who was surprised to see the level of developments in Lisa, eulogised the monarch for the projects in the community which have direct positive impact on his people.   

He said that for a monarch to singlehandedly provide such  numerous projects such as clinics, security posts for So- Safe corps, vigilante, markets, police post, constant grading of the road leading to Lisa and beyond among others is a testimony that the monarch loves his people and the community and also have them at heart.   

Prince Oladele stressed the need for traditional rulers in the community to emulate the leadership style of Oba Odugbemi by complementing the efforts of governments through self help Community projects that can improve the wellbeing and livelihood of the people in their domain which according to him government  cannot do it alone.     

 The zonal chairman appreciated the support of the Royal father in the developmental and monumental projects executed in the community for the benefit of the people and solicited the support and cooperation of the monarch for the Community Development Associations( CDAs) in the community.   
      
While responding, Olu of Lisa kingdom, Oba Oladele Odugbemi thanked the CDC executives for their visit, saying that the efforts of CDAs in our environment cannot be over emphasised.       

Oba Odugbemi charged them to be proactive at ensuring development of various communities in their respective domain since government alone cannot shoulder the responsibilities of providing basic amenities in the communities.                                          
The monarch stressed that the welfare and wellbeing of his people are Paramount to him  assuring that he will continue to contribute his quota to the socio- economic wellbeing and development of his domain and beyond.
