Twenty - seven years after featuring in the Glamour Girls, a two-part Nollywood film about independent single women embarking on their separate paths within Nigeria's traditionally patriarchal society, actress Gloria Anozie - Young has received an award courtesy of The legend of Nollywood Awards.
The award is a recognition of the impressive role performance by Gloria while that Glamour Girls movie fame lasted. The award was given to her yesterday in Lagos.
The Glamour Girls gained widespread popularity among Nigerian movie lovers and redefined the home movie industry in the country in mid 90s.
Aside Gloria Anozie, the film starred actresses and actors such as Liz Benson, Ngozi Ezeonu, Eucharia Anuobi, Pat Attah, Ernest Obi, Zack Orji among others.
Elated Gloria was surprised and gave gratitude for making the honour possible in His own time.
The veteran actress said:"After, over 200 movies, numerous stage performances, uncountable television series, radio shows? Hmm...
"I used to always say an Actor is as good as his last job. Now I'm confused, pleasantly surprised and totally humbled. God's ways are not our ways.
"In HIS time, HE makes everything perfect."

She thanked her veteran actor - husband, Norbert Jerha Young, for motivating and inspiring her, Obazele Paul and the legend of Nollywood Awards for the honour.
