The Lagos State Police Command has arrested an undergraduate female student in connection with the gruesome murder of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, CEO, and billionaire in Lagos.
The suspect, a 21 - year - old Chidinma Ojukwu is an undergraduate student of University of Lagos.
The State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu who confirmed this while parading the suspect today at the Command Headquarters in Ikega, said she had confessed to committing the crime.
According to her, when the man slumped and lay on the floor lifeless, she dressed up, locked the room and sneaked out.
The owner of the rented apartment where the gruesome murder took place had been arrested while Ataga’s account had also been blocked to prevent further withdrawals from it by those taking advantage of his untimely death.

Chidinma, a 300-level student of Mass Communication, university of Lagos, disclosed that she had been in a romantic relationship with Ataga for about four months before the affair suddenly turned awry.
Chidinma said that a heated argument had ensued when she and Ataga were “having a nice time" and as the "fun," and disagreement could not end, she stabbed him twice in anger.
She hinted that both had smoked, took some drinks, and at stage fell asleep, insinuating that she was not fully aware when she stabbed him.
She also admitted withdrawing N380,000 from his account using his ATM card after the fatal stabbing of the late CEO.
She said: “We were in the lodge smoking. He was trying to make advances on me. I was tired and he became violent on it. I let him have his way. Towards afternoon, he ordered roofies. We took it together and ate food. He became high. I was still not happy with the first one (sex) that we had, so, I was staying on my own, smoking and drinking. He, too, was on his own.
“He came to me and I was like I am not happy with what he did. I was like, ‘You don’t help me, you don’t assist me with anything, you are just playing with me around’. He was like, ‘Take my ATM and withdraw what you want.
“He later became violent trying to get to me and I was resisting and defending myself. At some point, he hit my head on the wall and I also retaliated.
“At some point, he was chasing me around the kitchen cabinet. I took a knife and stabbed his neck. I approached the door and he followed me. I stabbed him twice on the neck side. I threw the knife to the bed and he was going for it but I also went for it. He dragged the knife with me and it broke and he fell on the floor.”
Earlier, it was reported that girl suspected to be a side chic allegedly drugged and stabbed the Super TV CEO and Nigerian billionaire to death in Lagos.
The tragic incident was a sad day for the family and friends of Usifo when the news of his gruesome murder broke.
Ataga who resides in Banana Island was initially reported missing by concerned friends and family after all efforts to locate him or his whereabout failed.
Search at his Victoria Island office showed he wasn’t there either and this put everyone edge, including his wife and children who reside in Abuja.
Unfortunately, his lifeless body was found this morning in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stable wounds after several withdrawals were made from his account.
Usifo, 49, had met a girl about two weeks ago and a romance affairs was said to have taken off immediately although, his wife is a manager in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
Usifo who felt more comfortable meeting with his side chic outside his home and hers, to prevent nosey neighbours from prying, rented an Airbnb in Lekki, Lagos where they both checked into before the unfortunate incidence.
Following his disappearance, a combined team of concerned friends, family members, the police and DSS operatives all the way from Abuja through the concerted efforts of the wife, tracked down the owner of the Airbnb, who received payment from the side chic’s bank account into which Ataga had previously made a transfer for the payment to.
The apartment was broken into and that was where he was found dead with multiple stabs in his neck, chest and thigh.
The side chick withdrew N5 million from his account before they killed Ataga.
Apparently, the side chic carried out the murder after she must have drugged him as the security guards at the rentals said no 3rd party came visiting Ataga and the side chic besides a dispatch rider who brought drugs for the girl.
The side chic who was last seen on Tuesday when the murder happened, was equally tracked down and arrested alongside the owner of the Airbnb.
Many of Ataga’s friends have expressed dismay at how the side chic was able to pull the dastardly act all alone as Ataga was said to have been an amateur boxer who was very strong.
After the side chic left the apartment following his gruesome death, withdrawal feedbacks began to roll out in quick succession from Atage’s Guaranty Trust Bank account and it was an email from Ataga’s email address asking for a change in his account details, did the withdrawals stop.
The GTBank also put an embargo on the account to prevent any further withdrawal.
