Ogun Monarch Donates Medical Equipment To Community Health Centre

The Olu of Lisa in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun state, His Royal Highness, Oba Najeemdeen Oladele Odugbemi has donated medical equipment worth millions of naira to the community's health centre. 

The monarch made the donation at the weekend through his pet project, Oladele Odugbemi Foundation (OOF) in Lisa village. 

According to Oba Odugbemi, the donation was to ensure even development in the community and to support the mantra of inclusive governance of Governor Dapo Abiodun administration. 

The royal father maintained that, the aim was to help the less privileged, stressing that, the construction of the health centre and donation of medical equipment were meant to make healthcare facilities accessible to people at the grassroots. 

While reacting, the Amona Of Lisa village, Hon. Adeyinka Adefunmiloye commended the monarch for fast tracking development to the community. 

He added that, part of the monarch's legacy are; establishment of local market, construction of school, building of So Safe Corps station, construction of Health Centre, mosque among others. 

Hon. Adefunmiloye however called on other philanthropists and corporate organizations to emulate the monarch's kind gesture. 

He said: "If we have monarchs in Nigeria that are doing great things that Olu of Lisa has been doing, Nigeria will be a better place, Ogun State will be a better place".

Hon. Adeyinka however, appealed to Ogun state government to assist the community and the foundation in providing succour to the community on the deplorable condition of the community road.

Speaking earlier, Tayese of Lisa town and Chairman, Ifelodun Community, Chief Wale Akinsola commended the monarch for the developmental projects in the community. 

Chief Akinsola called on the state government not to neglect the state community as its has potential for generating revenue in the future. 

Receiving the donation, the Principal Nursing Officer (PNO) in Oyero/Ososun ward, Adeosun Abosede, while responding to the gesture thanked the foundation for the facilities provided.

She stated that the facilities will further help in rendering quality health support for the people.

She also said that the facilities will assist in preserving vaccines and make patients more comfortable.
