Former Education Commissioner In Ogun, Odubela, Is Dead

Lagos lawyer and former Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State, John Olusegun Odubela, SAN,  is dead.

Odubela died on Monday of undisclosed health condition at an equally undisclosed hospital.

However, unauthorized source close to Odubela's associates ascribed the cause of death to complications arising from COVID-19.

He served as a Education Commissioner during first tenure of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s Administration.

He was a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, alumnus of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago - Iwoye, Ogun State. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990, obtained a Masters of Law degree from the University of Lagos, in 1995 and until his demise, a member of the International Bar Association and Nigerian Bar Association.
