Police in Ogun state have arrested a - 36 - year old school bus driver, Humble Michael, for defiling a - 4 - year - old pupil of the school that employed him.
Michael allegedly defiled the girl on her way home from school, after he had dropped her colleagues off at their various homes.
The Daily Crucible learnt that the father of the victim discovered the rape act on his daughter while bathing her.
The girl was said to be bleeding from her private part following the rape and the father discovered it while bathing her.
When asked, she disclosed that the driver of her school bus had sex with her on the 21st of January 2021 on their way home from school.
She told her parents further that after the driver had dropped off all other school children at their various points, she was the only one left in the bus, and the driver cashed in on the situation to park along the road and defiled her afterwards.
The victim's mother reported the rape at the Ogijo Divisional Police Headquarters, where the Divisional Police Officer, Ogijo Division, a Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP), Muhammed Baba, despatched detectives to arrest the suspect.
The girl was taken to the State General Hospital for medical examination and the doctor's report had confirmed that she had been sexually abused.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a release on Friday also confirmed the crime and arrest of the suspect.

said the suspect had admitted committing the crime during interrogation, explaining that he would soon be transferred to the Anti - Human Trafficking and Child Labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution as directed by the Commissioner of police, Edward Ajogun
