Police Arrest Falana In Ogun For Murder

The Police have arrested a - 55 - year old man, Ishau Falana, for allegedly killing his relative, Badmus Rafiu, over bush burning. 

Ishau allegedly tied Badmus' hands and legs with rope and beat him to a state of coma before abandoning him in a farm to die. 

The remains of Badmus were discovered by his mother  when she went to farm the following day. 

It was learnt that the suspect  was incensed that the deceased went to their farm at Oluwasogo area of Ijaka Isale for bush burning near the suspect's farm. 

And upon accosting the deceased, he challenged him in respect of the bush burning and in the ensuing fight, he overpowered the deceased and beat him to coma. 

The deceased younger brother reported the incident at Ayetoro Divisional Headquarters and the suspect was there after, arrested on January 14.

Also,  detectives went to the farm on the instruction of  the Divisional Police Officer,  Ayetoro Division,  Bolaji Jimoh, a  Chief Superintendent of Police, and recovered the corpse.

The Daily Crucible  learnt that the corpse has been evacuated to the morgue of the General Hospital Ayetoro, for post mortem examination.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the State,  Abimbola Oyeyemi,  in a release on Tuesday,  said the suspect during interrogation, admitted tying the deceased legs and hands before beating him to coma.

The suspect claimed he never knew it would lead to his death.

The Commissioner of Police, Edward  Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspect to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Departm
