Interestingly, Amaka picked a familiar house of God - St Joseph Chaplaincy, Imo State University, Owerri, to solemnize her marriage.
Her parents, uncles and cousins, including Emeka Ehirim, Prince Godfrey Amadi as well as the groom's family - Mr and Mrs G.N. Odoemene, and a host relatives, friends and well - wishers were around to witness it.
The clergy, Rev Fr. Patrick Mbara, after scripture based words of exhortation, officially pronounced the groom and bride as husband and wife - and thus, migrating them from the world of singlehood to the marriage ecosystem where love, tolerance, commitment, openness, forgiveness, understanding, faithfulness, responsiveness and accountability should rule.
Earlier on Wednesday, the traditional wedding, which was the first leg of it, took place at the bride's family compound in Umuamarano, Umuihuocha Obohia, Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, a ceremony which elicited a well of joy from parents, relatives and their cheering guests.
"My husband's kind of love, level of intelligence and humility bowled me over and when he proposed to me much later, I eventually gave him my consent on September 1, 2020 and now we're formally and happily united as one," she said.
