    House Committee On Niger Delta Suspends Hearing As Pondei Collapses During Interrogation

    Resumed Hearing at the House Committee on Niger Delta came to abrupt end on Monday when Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, Acting managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) while being grilled the House of Representatives committee probing the Commission.

    Pondei who only last week told the Committee how among other things, the Commission spent over N1bn as pallistive for staff, suddenly caved in while being questioned over alleged prodigal spending by the commission and passed out, forcing officials to revive him.

    The Committee also suspended its hearing in respect of the probe pending when Pondei regained his strength.
