COVID-19 : Hope Dims On Schools Resumption As FG Insists On Continued Closure

Hope of soon re - opening of schools across the country dimmed on Monday as the Federal Government(FG) said that  they would remain closed “for now.” 

 But   operators in the nation's aviation sector have cause to smile as the FG has given nod to start preparation towards resumption of business this June.

The Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 made these known during its daily briefing on Monday to update Nigerians on efforts being made to flatten the COVID 19 curve in the country.

While giving an update on the PTF announcement, the Personal Assistant on New Media to @MBuhari, Bashir Ahmad, tweeted, “For now, all the schools are to remain closed, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces the directive.

“The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has requested the Aviation Industry to start developing protocols for domestic flights to possibly resume from June 21.

“The interstate travel remains prohibited except for goods and essential travel, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces.”
