The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi has advised Nigerians, especially his people, to pay closer attention to the dangers of ritual killings and cold blood murder of children and adults in the name of voodoo and cultural practices in the society, calling on them to devote their energy more towards protesting against those heinous crimes instead of being unnecessarily concerned about Oluwo's issues.
Oba Akanbi was apparently reacting to the protest by some traditional rulers and indigenes of Ayedire, OlaOluwa local Councils of Osun State and parts of Iwo, last February against him.
The reported protest followed allegation that he beats up the Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa, Oba Dhirulahi Akinropo.
But Oluwo said Africans were killing fellow Africans while ritual killings, unhealthy cultural practices and internet based crimes were also rife in the society, ostensibly stressing that such evils should engage the attention of those protesting against him.
The monarch who reckons himself to be the Arole Olodumare 1 of Yorubaland, gave the advice on Wednesday using his social media page.
"Africans are killing Africans in the name of voodoo more than world war 1& 2 combine since I have known rights from wrong, this has been happening !!! Ritual murder should even be feared than Corona Virus an HIV, ritual killings is 'Pandemic.' "
