UNN To Host Maiden Conference On Witchcraft

Professor B.I.C. Ijomah Centre for Policy and Research; an arm of  the University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN), will hold the maiden interdisciplinary conference on Witchcraft; ostensibly to cast light on the age long practices that are said to entail using magical power and sorcery to achieve set goals.

The opening ceremony of the conference themed: "Witchcraft: Meaning, Factors and Practices," is slated for Tuesday, November 26 while the academic session comes up the following day at the institution's Energy centre.

The Invite sighted by The Daily Crucible shows that the UNN Vice - Chancellor, Prof. Charles Igwe, is assigned the Chief host function during the two - day event.

Also, former Vice - Chancellor, Benue State University and Veritas Universities, Prof. David Ker, is the keynote speaker at the conference  while the duo of Prof. P.J. Ezeh and Prof. Damian Opata will be the lead paper presenters.

The Director of the Centre, Prof. Egodi Uchendu, is designated as the host with the Agidigbo of Aboh, Delta State, Prof. B.I.C. Ijomah serving as Special guest of honour.
